About me

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Hi, I’m Ellie Travis, a Newcastle based 23 year old business woman. I am a Graduate Sports Therapist and hold an MSc in Strength and Conditioning. I’m starting my journey to become an experienced professional in sports injury care with a thirst for knowledge and challenging myself.

I am currently employed as a part-time lecturer at Teesside University where I have taught ‘Dance Science’ on the BA Dance degree and anatomy and research methods on the BSc Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation degree. I also run my own sports injury clinic in North Shields, as well as working with several sports teams to provide support. I love my job teaching new therapists and helping others overcome and prevent injuries.

My interests lie in American Football and dance (particularly ballet) and it is my aim to educate individuals in these areas to enhance performance and prevent injuries.

I have vast experience as a Sports Therapist and Strength and Conditioning coach with a wide range of sporting disciplines. These include: rugby union, rugby league, badminton, squash, dance, American football, strongman, cyclists and track athletes.

As well as injury care and strength and conditioning advice, this blog also documents what I get up to in my work, book reviews and my lifestyle to keep it a little less serious.

I love to keep active myself through weight lifting, sports conditioning, ballet, water sports and country hikes. I just love anything outside really (particularly the seaside) so I have the perfect job!

I hope you enjoy the read!

Please feel free to get in contact!
